Life As It Really Is

One small grain on a universal beach.

Life

Life is an incredible thing. Like money, it comes and goes. You start as a small cell and turn into a large intelligent being. People fail to realize how small and insignificant we really are. Imagine you were a sperm cell again. You would have NO IDEA as to how big the universe is outside of your father. So now think about yourself in today's form and what ever age you are, trying to think of what's outside of our universe. The same rules apply. It's nearly impossible.

There is the world we live in, and then there's a world within the world we live. The microscopic world. Where there are clawed, spikey, hairy little creatures that roam about. These creatures are very, very small but in large quantities can have an affect on it's environment. Just like humans can affect the life cycle of this planet. There are even smaller elements of life, like molecules and atoms that may be homes or even planets to even smaller beings.

The bottom line is, if there are smaller life forms like bacteria and virus' then what makes us think that our universe is the limit. Metaphorically speaking, maybe our entire universe is just a blood cell in a flowing river of other blood cells. Flowing inside in organ that's part of a bigger creature (God?). And even that creature was part of something bigger, and on, and on, to infinity. What do you think? State your opinion.

I love your perspective on this Misstikal1, does make one stop and think for a while... although I have very little recollection of my sperm time, I do believe I was the fastest swimmer!

I once read a piece that for all effects and purposes, mankind is basically a virus (that was before the matrix movies)

Thanks for your comment Lee. You are right about man being a virus. It wasn't always that way though. Mankind evolved into a planetary virus when we first started to tamper with technology. Poisonous gases being released into the air, radioactive waste is being placed all over the world and global warming, these are all evidence that support the Human-Planetary-Virus theory.

I don't think technology is really the biggest problem though, its really mankind's self proclaimed "right" to overpopulate and overuse the resources that are available to us, disregarding any other creature's rights.

This does give me some Food for thought. Life is so precious but can vanish any minute - just like vapour. We should make the most of it. Lovely Hub. :)

You certainly have a unique perspective of looking at the universe, between microcosm and macrocosm. Thanks for sharing.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, very intriguing topic, especially your last paragraph. How we wish we know the answer to that but heck, I don't think we will find out in this lifetime. Thanks for the hub Misstikal.

Makes sense to me. We may but a tiny dot in the universe, but we sure seem to think a lot of ourselves. Most of us, anyway.

It's a miracle we're here.

We are but specks of dust...not even that much...with regard to the Universe and everything else out there. As Dohn pointed out, your macrocosm and microcosm views provoke interesting thoughts.

I think any creature that has multiple 'suns' in it must have tremendous heartburn. As far a evolution, I've been dying to say this, our Sun - inhabitable, Mercury - inhabitable, Venus - inhabitable, mars - inhabitable, Jupiter - inhabitable, Saturn - inhabitable, Uranus (probably lovely) but inhabitable (sorry, who could resist), Pluto - inhabitable, stars, the vacuum of space, all inhabitable. So far man has not found one habitable planet for as far as we can see, Earth - habitable! why? Created! Oftentimes the wisdom of mankind is a stumblingblock, another unending question is: "who created god?" because then you go to and who created the creator of god and who created the creator of the creator of god, and infinitude. Its good to peruse these different concepts and can be very entertaining, but for me, things are much simpler.

God the Father is the creator of everything. His son is Jesus Christ and it is in Him whom we have hope.
